Precautionary Blackouts Possible in California due to Wildfires

Pacific Gas and Electric Company says that they may begin precautionary blackouts to parts of 16 counties in California due to wildfires.
Hundreds of thousands of people could be left in the dark.
Should the power be shut off, it would be for a period of 48 hours.
There is a Fire Weather Watch in effect for the Kern County mountains and a portion of Sequoia National Forest from late Wednesday night through Friday evening.
A very dry air mass in place coupled with gusty northeast to southeast winds will be responsible for critical fire weather conditions in the Kern County mountains and a portion of Sequoia National Forest from late Wednesday night through Friday evening the National Weather Service said.
