Quiet in the Atlantic

Hurricane season officially comes to an end on November 30.

It looks like little if any activity is expected over the next week.

This has been the most active year on record with a total of 30 named storms.

There could be a non-tropical area of low-pressure form over the western Atlantic early next week. This system may attempt to develop subtropical characteristics early next week before partially merging with a cold front.

Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.
