Rain and freezing rain expected across Southern Ontario

Today will be an unsettled one across southern Ontario with rain and freezing rain expected.

Portions of southwestern Ontario and portions of the Golden Horseshoe, including the GTA will see rain today. 10 to 20 mm of rain is possible. Localized flooding is possible.

The rain will transition to flurries this evening.

Areas of southwestern Ontario and portions of the Golden Horseshoe that are north and east of the GTA will see rain today with 10 to 20 mm expected.

By Wednesday evening, temperatures are expected to drop to or slightly below the freezing mark which will see rain transition over to freezing rain, particularly over areas of higher terrain. Amounts will vary from 2 to 8 mm of ice accretion.

Portions of central and eastern Ontario will experience a freezing rain event today and tonight. Ice accretions up to 10 mm are possible for these areas.
