Rainy Canada Day for Nova Scotia and Newfoundland

An area of low pressure located off the southern coast of Newfoundland will make for a wet Canada Day in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

Cape Breton Island as well an extreme southern Nova Scotia could see 50 mm of rain by Monday evening.

The eastern half of Newfoundland will see steadier rain throughout the day on Monday. 15 to 25 mm is possible for the Avalon, south coast, and north to the Bonavista Peninsula.

Across western Newfoundland, sporadic showers are possible, no significant accumulation is expected at this time.
