An area of low pressure located over the Midwestern United States will bring a strong stormy system to Ontario.

On Sunday heavy snow is expected across northwestern Ontario. Snowfall amounts of 30 to 40 cm are expected by the time the snow comes to an end on Tuesday morning.
A significant freezing rain event is expected in northeastern, central, and eastern Ontario. The freezing rain is expected through Monday. Widespread power outages are likely and significant travel problems are expected. The freezing rain will change to snow and rain on Monday afternoon.
Heavy rain is expected over southwestern Ontario. 40 mm of rain is expected. Over higher terrain, freezing rain is expected.
