Snow & freezing rain expected across Ontario

Snow is expected to transition to freezing rain this afternoon across parts of northeastern Ontario and southern Ontario near the Ottawa River Valley.

There is the potential for an extended period of freezing rain for areas near the Ottawa River Valley from Renfrew to Lake Timiskaming to Lake Abitibi.

Across far northern Ontario, snow will continue today with an additional 5-10 cm expected.

Additionally, wind gusts of 50-60 km/h will result in blowing snow.

Across northwestern Ontario, flurries are expected combined with winds gusts to 60 km/h resulting in blowing snow.
