Snow squalls are possible for areas east of Lake Huron and east and south of Georgian Bay today and Tuesday.
In the heaviest snow squalls, amounts of 15 to 30 cm are possible, with locally significantly higher amounts possible in some areas. Blowing snow will result in reduced visibility.
Snow squalls may extend towards Lake Erie as well at times.
Lake effect snow squalls are caused by cold air blowing over warmer, unfrozen water, picking up moisture and rising.
