Snow squalls to continue off Lake Huron and Lake Superior

It will be a snowy start to the new year for areas near Lake Huron, Georgian Bay and Lake Superior.

Snow squalls are continuing for areas southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay today. Snowfall amounts of 20 to 40 cm, along with blowing snow, are expected.

Areas east and southeast of Lake Superior will also see snow squalls develop this morning with snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm likely. Blowing snow is also expected.
