Sobeys to Eliminate Plastic Bags

Sobeys has taken a huge step in reducing their carbon footprint.

The grocery store chain will be eliminating plastic bags nationally within six months.

The company says that will remove 225 million plastic grocery bags from landfills every year.

By January 2020 the bags are expected to be gone.

Sobeys is the first national grocery store to eliminate plastic bags.
