Spring Outlook 2021
March 1 marks the first day of meteorological spring. The first day of Spring or Vernal Equinox is on March 20 at 5:37 am EDT. Spring makes way for the Summer Solstice on June 20 at 11:32 pm EDT.
Winter in Canada typically begins much sooner than the first day of Winter. It is not uncommon to see snow in November and in some spots in October. Just as Spring doesn't abide by the calendar.
Nevertheless, we have prepared our Spring forecast for 2021. We analyzed both temperatures and precipitation.
Temperatures
Across the eastern half of the country, it looks like we will see temperatures a few degrees above normal, much like this winter was. It will be mostly seasonal across the Prairies. Cooler temperatures are expected in British Columbia and Yukon.
