Storm system expected to impact the Maritimes tonight

An area of low pressure will bring a period of significant snow and rain to the Maritime province this evening and Friday.

New Brunswick

Northern and central New Brunswick will see 15 to 20 cm, while western areas will receive 10 to 15 cm.


The Fundy coast and southeastern New Brunswick will see 15 cm of snow.


Prince Edward Island

Significant snowfall is expected this evening across Prince Edward Island. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm could fall.


Nova Scotia

The Annapolis Valley and northern areas of the province, including western Cape Breton, will receive 10 to 15 cm this afternoon until tonight.


Strong winds are expected over Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Gusts up to 90 km/h are expected tonight.
