Stormy weather continues across Ontario


It's another day of unsettled weather across southern, central, and northeastern Ontario.


Southwestern Ontario including Hamilton and Niagara

Widespread freezing rain is expected across the area this morning and will continue until about noon. Freezing rain amounts of 2 to 4 mm are expected resulting in slippery roads and ice accretion.


Freezing rain will change to snow this afternoon.


Winds will gust to 80 km/h.


GTA to Kingston

Snow and strong winds are expected today.


Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected with areas south of Highway 401 likely toward the low end of the range. There is a risk of freezing drizzle for areas north of the GTA.


Winds will gust to 70 km/h this afternoon and evening.


Central and northeastern Ontario

Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm is possible until tonight when the snow eases. Freezing drizzle is possible after the snow comes to an end.


Wind gusts to 70 km/h are possible.
