Strong Earthquake in Papua New Guinea

There was a 7.2 magnitude earthquake in the eastern New Guinea region.


It was felt in the capital Port Moresby.


The earthquake was at a depth of 126 km. There was no tsunami threat.


It occurred on May 7 at 7:19 am local time.


It was 33.4 km northwest of Bulolo, Papua New Guinea.
