A strong earthquake occurred in southern Alaska today.
The 6.0 magnitude earthquake occurred at 8:11 a.m. local time.
It was centred 14.4 kilometres west of Susitna, Alaska and was at a depth of 80 kilometres.
There were no reports of any fatalities or injuries, and no reports of any damage.
The National Tsunami Warning Center said that while an earthquake had occurred, a tsunami was not expected.
Earthquakes are a frequent occurrence in Alaska.
