Strong earthquake off the east coast of Russia

A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Russia on Saturday afternoon at 2:37 p.m. local time.
The earthquake was at a depth of 39 km and was centred 111.7 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia.
Initially, there were fears of a possible tsunami, but no tsunami occurred.
