Strong earthquake off the eastern coast of Russia

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake has occurred near the east coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia.
The quake was centred 128.5 kilometres south of Vilyuchinsk, Russia.
The earthquake occurred on Friday just after midnight local time and was at a depth of 52 kilometres.
