Strong winds expected across southern Ontario, snow for northern areas


A cold front will push across southern Ontario on Saturday and will bring strong winds to the area.


Winds will gust between 70 and 90 km/h. Isolated power outages are possible. Winds will gradually diminish in the afternoon.


Meanwhile, some snow is expected for areas north of Lake Superior, northeastern, and far northeastern Ontario. Snow will being tonight and continue through Saturday morning.


Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm are expected and gusty winds will result in reduced visibility.


Areas east of Lake Superior could see a lake-effect snow event on Sunday.
