For sections of northeastern Ontario from Lake Superior east through Chapleau and Timmins to the Quebec border, heavy rain is expected. Some areas could see 30 to 50 mm of rain. As the temperature falls on Thursday night, rain could switch to freezing rain.

As the low pushes through winds in some locations will gust to 80 km/h.

Stormy weather will continue on Friday with snow expected from the Manitoba border south of Kenora eastward to Timmins and the Quebec border. 5 to 15 cm of snow is possible.

South of Timmins freezing rain is expected.
