Love it or hate it, winter is coming. Winter officially arrives Saturday, December 21, at 4:21 a.m. EST. Living in Canada, we know that winter weather tends to arrive earlier, with several regions of our country already recording significant amounts of snow.
Temperature

We expect most of Canada to experience above normal temperatures with the exception of northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, and most of Saskatchewan. In these areas, temperatures will be near normal.

Precipitation

The eastern half of the country can expect to see near normal amounts of precipitation except the Avalon Peninsula, where we expect precipitation to be slightly above normal. The western half of Canada will see above normal precipitation.
