Three Alberta Wildfires Remain Out of Control

There are still 14 active wildfires burning across Alberta, three of which remain out of control.


Thundershowers with lightning are expected to move through the area over the next 24 hours in the Slave Lake Forest Area. No significant rain is expected.


Chuckegg and Jackpot Creek Wildfires Remain Out of Control.


Firefighters, helicopters, airtankers, and heavy equipment are positioned throughout the High Level Forest Area to respond to any new wildfire starts.


Air quality remains an issue. Wildfire smoke is causing locally poor air quality and reduced visibility across northwestern Alberta.
