Tornado Touches Down in Kansas and Missouri


On Tuesday there were multiple tornadoes reported in Kansas and Missouri.


There were tense moments when a tornado touched down in eastern Missouri, threatening St. Louis.


St. Louis' Lambert International Airport shut down. As a result several flights were grounded in St. Louis.


A tornado was reported near Junction City, Kansas on Tuesday evening.


Several people had to rescued from floodwaters in El Reno, Oklahoma.


There were no reports of any injuries.


Almost 18,000 homes and businesses in Missouri lost power.


There severe threat continues today. The greatest potential for severe thunderstorms is this afternoon into evening, from western Missouri to southeastern Kansas and northeastern Oklahoma. Tornadoes, large/damaging hail and severe gusts all are possible.
