Tropical wave located near Cabo Verde Islands has low chance of development

There is a tropical wave located near the Cabo Verde Islands.

The area is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

During the middle part of this week, conditions are expected to be favourable to some gradual development.

The National Hurricane Center predicts that the system has a 20 percent chance of forming over the next five days.

According to NOAA’s annual mid-season update, atmospheric and oceanic conditions still favour an above-normal 2022 Atlantic hurricane season.
