Tsunami Warning Issued in Indonesia


Officials in Indonesia issued a tsunami warning after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake on Monday.


Residents from coastal cities fled to higher ground.


Residents in the city of Manado said the quake was felt strongly.


There were no reports of any injuries or damage.


According to Indonesia’s geophysics agency, the earthquake did not cause a tsunami.


Indonesia is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire and is prone to earthquakes.
