Two large earthquakes in Pacific region


There were two large earthquakes in the Pacific region on Monday evening.


There was a 6.1 magnitude earthquake at a depth of 357 km that was centred 84.6 km south-southeast of Toba, Japan. There was no tsunami threat.


A 6.1 magnitude earthquake was also recorded 860.9 km southwest of Haveluloto, Tonga at a depth of 627 km. There was an earthquake in the same area just a couple of days ago that prompted a tsunami warning.
