Two powerful earthquakes cause widespread damage in Myanmar and Thailand

Two powerful earthquakes have hit Myanmar. The first was a 7.7 magnitude, and the second was a 6.4 magnitude.
The earthquakes were felt in Myanmar, Bangladesh, India, Laos, Thailand, and China.
The first occurred at 12:50 p.m. local time on Friday at a depth of 10 km and was located 16.0 km north-northwest of Sagaing, Myanmar. The second earthquake happened at 1:02 p.m. it was also at a depth of 10 km and was centered 18.8 km south of Sagaing, Myanmar.
So far, three people are confirmed dead in Myanmar, but that number is expected to rise.
Several people are trapped in a high-rise building that collapsed in Bangkok, Thailand. Several other buildings are damaged.
