The next couple of days will be unsettled across the eastern United States. There is the potential for snow, rain, and freezing rain.

Today there will be rain and snow from southern New England to the Central/Southern Appalachians. South of that, rain will develop over parts of the Central Gulf Coast to the Southeast.

This evening freezing rain may develop across portions of eastern North Carolina.

Tomorrow snow will continue over parts of the southern Mid-Atlantic. There is the potential for significant freezing rain along the coast of the Carolinas. The freezing rain will end by Saturday morning.

Rain is expected once again on Friday and Saturday over the Southeast.

There is also the potential for severe thunderstorms across parts of the southern Florida Peninsula on Friday. The main threats are strong winds and hail.
