Unsettled Weather Across The Prairies Today


An area of low pressure located along the northern Alberta/Saskatchewan border will being nasty weather to the region today. Snow is expected across northern Alberta and northern Saskatchewan. There is also a risk of freezing rain around the Lake Athabasca area. Showers are expected along the Saskatchewan/United States Border. There is also a risk of isolated thunderstorms in southern Manitoba in the afternoon and evening hours. As the low pushes through, there will be gusty winds on the backside of the system. Across most of Saskatchewan and western Manitoba, winds gusts of 60 to 70 km/h are possible. Some localized gusts may reach 90 km/h.
