The wildfire situation remains dire across British Columbia.
There are 266 active fires currently burning across the province.
Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate. The Coquihalla Highway remains closed between Hope and Merritt.
The majority of the fires are burning in the southeast section and Kamloops section.
Drivers are being advised to only travel on highways if it is essential to ensure the highway remains clear should evacuation orders been extended.
Some rain is possible for the Interior overnight. Many regions of southern and central British Columbia are being impacted by wildfire smoke.
