Very hot day across portions of British Columbia
It will be a very hot day across portions of British Columbia.
Daytime highs today will rise into the low to mid-30s. This will be the first stretch of well-above-average temperatures this season.
Since freezing levels will rise throughout this event, an increase in snowmelt and snowpack instability is expected. Increased stream flows are also possible.
The fire danger continues to be between low and moderate across most of the province.
Temperatures will return to more seasonal values by the middle of the week.
