Watching a Low Off The Coast of Florida

There is an area of low pressure off the northeastern coast of Florida that is worth monitoring for tropical development.

Presently, the low is delivering heavy rain to portions of coastal sections of northeastern Florida and Georgia. The rain will move over the Carolinas on Wednesday. There will also be gusty winds.

Across northeastern Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, there is a risk of rip currents.

While some development is possible through early Wednesday, the low will move well inland over the southeast which should inhibit any chance of tropical cyclone formation.
