Watching another area in the tropics

We are watching an area in the central tropical Atlantic that could eventually develop into our next tropical system.

Conditions are marginally conducive for some development and we could see at least a tropical storm form from this wave over the next couple of days.

Over the next few days, the system will move westward and then take a turn to the north.

By Friday it will be near the Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. Those in these areas should monitor the progress of this system.
