Windy and Rainy Weather Persists Across Maritimes


Windy and rainy conditions are continuing across the Maritimes today in part to a cold front.


Rain will transition to snow across western New Brunswick. Rain will mix with snow across Prince Edward Island and parts of Nova Scotia before coming to an end overnight.


Most areas will see rainfall amounts ranging from 30 to 60 mm. Western New Brunswick will receive 5 to 10 cm of snow and lesser amounts of rain. Winds will gust between 70 and 90 km/h across most of the region and up to 120 km/h for Inverness County - Mabou and north.


Rain will move across Newfoundland and eastern Labrador tonight. Western Labrador will get snow. Rainfall amounts of no more than 5 mm are anticipated. Winds will be gusts and when the cold front passes it will turn cooler across western Newfoundland.
