A winter storm currently impacting a large swath of the United States will also have an impact on the weather in Atlantic Canada from Sunday night to Tuesday night.
Snow will spread south to north across the Maritimes beginning on Sunday night.
Expect a broad 15–30 cm for most of Nova Scotia and PEI. Moncton and the Southeast will likely see the heaviest totals with 25+ cm, while the Northwest stays slightly drier but much colder.
Newfoundland will also see snow, with the heaviest amounts expected over the Avalon Peninsula. About 10 to 15 cm is expected from Monday Night to Tuesday Night.
