Another low is set to impact Atlantic Canada


Another low is set to impact Atlantic Canada today, tonight, and Tuesday.


New Brunswick

Snow is expected in eastern sections of New Brunswick. Amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible. The snow will change to rain along the Fundy coast this afternoon and evening, and there is a risk of freezing rain in the southeast.


Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island will see both rain and snow today and this evening. For western sections of the province snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected and rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are expected for eastern areas.


Nova Scotia

Rain is expected across Nova Scotia today it will be heavy at times. Amounts of 20 to 40 mm is possible, up to 50 mm is possible in the heaviest rain. Additionally in the Inverness County - Mabou and north area, winds will gust to 120 km/h this evening.


Newfoundland and Labrador

Rain is expected across Newfoundland tomorrow with amounts ranging from 10 to 25 mm. Heavier rain is expected on the southwest coast with amounts from 60 to 80 mm with near 100 mm over higher terrain.


For Corner Brook and higher terrain areas of the west coast, the rain will change to snow late in the afternoon with a few centimetres possible.


Strong winds are also expected with gusts from 70 to 100 km/h expected. Gusts in the Wreckhouse area could reach 130 km/h.


In Labrador heavy snow is expected for some areas.
