Early Look at Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
Christmas is now less than a week away, with that in mind many people are wondering, will it be white Christmas? We have some clues to answer that question.
Christmas Eve: There will be some flurries across Newfoundland and Labrador. Elsewhere across Atlantic Canada, clear skies are expected. Temperatures will range from minus 3 to plus 6.
It will also be fair across Quebec and Ontario. Southern Ontario will see temperatures from 1 to 6. Northern sections will see highs into the minus teens.
An area of high pressure over the Alberta and British Columbia border will help keep clear skies dominate over the region. Some mixed precipitation is expected along the coast of British Columbia. The warmest temperatures across the Prairies will be in southern Alberta where high's near minus 5 is expected, it will be cooler elsewhere into the minus teens. Temperatures along the coast of British Columbia will be near freezing, it will be much cooler inland.
Christmas Day: Clear skies are expected for Atlantic Canada with the exception of some sea-effect flurries across the west coast of Newfoundland. High's near freezing are expected except along the west coast of Newfoundland where high's near minus 10 is expected.
There may be some mixed precipitation in the GTA area, northeast to Ottawa. Otherwise, nice weather is expected across Quebec and Ontario. Temperatures ranging from 1 to 5 in southern Ontario and about minus 5 into the minus teens in northern sections and southern Quebec.
Fair skies will also prevail across western Canada. Once again, Some mixed precipitation is expected along the coast of British Columbia. The warmest temperatures across the Prairies will be in southern Alberta where high's near minus 5 is expected, it will be cooler elsewhere into the minus teens. Temperatures along the coast of British Columbia will be near freezing, it will be much cooler inland.
