Federal Government Sending Assistance to NL #nlwx

Premier Dwight Ball says that a request has been made to the Federal Government for assistance, including mobilizing the Canadian Armed Forces, to provide relief to areas of Newfoundland & Labrador affected by severe winter weather.

The federal government has announced that they are working to deploy all available resources on the ground.

It will take days to clean up what it described as the worst storm to ever strike eastern Newfoundland.

States of emergency remain in place in St. John's, Mount Pearl, Conception Bay South, Paradise, Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s and Torbay.
