Heavy rain to impact northeastern Ontario today

A strong area of low pressure will impact northeastern and southern Ontario today.

Rain is expected over the course of the day. Amounts of 20 to 30 mm are possible. Some localized flooding is possible.

The rain will come to an end tonight across most areas. 10 to 20 mm of rain is expected for areas east of Ottawa on Sunday.

10 to 20 cm of snow is expected on Sunday across portions of northern and far northeastern Ontario.
