Is Biofuel Really Better For The Environment?

Most people think that biofuel is better for the environment.

Biofuel is basically a fuel that is sourced from living matter.

The alternative is fuel produced from geological processes involved in the formation of fossil fuels such as oil.

At a glance, it seems like a better, cleaner alternative, but biofuel is usually created by growing crops.

If there were to be a large switch to biofuel, large amounts of the forest would need to be cleared to allow for more space for crops.

It's not only that but also crop requires water, biofuel facilities require significant process water.
