Late season snow for parts of Ontario
A Colorado low will bring some late season snow to the eastern half of southern Ontario and portions of northeastern Ontario tonight and on Wednesday.
Precipitation will likely start as rain and then transition to snow by the afternoon over higher terrain.
On Wednesday night for parts of central, eastern and northeastern Ontario, significant snowfall is expected with 15 to 25 cm of accumulation possible.
An enhanced area of snowfall up to 30 cm is possible from Algonquin south to Plevna.
Across the remainder of the affected area, 5 to 15 cm is possible by Wednesday night, depending on how soon the transition from rain to snow occurs. The higher terrain through the Oak Ridges Moraine and along the escarpment northwest of the GTA may see accumulations toward the higher end of this range.
