Major winter storm to impact eastern half of Canada

Southern and Central Ontario
Portions of central and eastern Ontario will see a prolonged period of freezing rain. Ice accretion or build up of 10 to 20 mm beginning overnight or early Wednesday morning and continuing through Wednesday or Wednesday night.
For most of southern Ontario there is the potential for significant rainfall tonight and Wednesday. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm is possible
Snow will begin tonight for portions of Northeastern Ontario. Amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected along with blowing snow.
There is the potential for freezing rain, snow and ice pellets tonight into Wednesday for central Ontario. Snow and ice pellet amounts of 10 to 15 cm are expected along with freezing rain and ice pellets.
Southern Quebec
A major freezing rain event is expected for Greater Montreal, Montérégie, Outaouais, Lanaudière, Laurentians, Parc du Mont-Tremblant, Mauricie, Drummondville and Quebec City. Total freezing rain amounts of 20 to 30 millimetres are possible resulting in widespread power outages and significant travel disruptions. The freezing rain will take place from Wednesday to Thursday.
Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 centimetres over a 24-hour period and strong winds are expected for Témiscamingue, La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve, Parent - Gouin Reservoir, La Tuque, Laurentian Wildlife Reserve, Charlevoix, Saguenay, Kamouraska, Témiscouata and Rimouski.
Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 centimetres and strong winds are expected for Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Lower St Lawrence, Gaspé Peninsula and North Shore.
Maritimes
A variety of wintry precipitation that will likely affect New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island on Wednesday into Thursday. There remains some uncertainty in the exact track of this system but there is a high likelihood of significant amounts of snow and ice pellets as well as a prolonged period of freezing rain and rain.
Newfoundland
Snow and freezing rain is expected Thursday to Friday across Newfoundland, excluding the Avalon Peninsula.
Central, western and northern Newfoundland could receive 15 to 25 cm of snow followed by a period of freezing rain with 5 to 15 mm possible. Winds will also be gusty.
Along the south coast including Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity to Burin Peninsula, snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm is expected and rain of 25 to 50 mm.
The east coast of Newfoundland will see 10 to 15 cm of snow and a potential of freezing rain.
