Palisades Fire now the most destructive fire in Los Angeles history

Massive fires burning in Southern California have destroyed over one thousand structures and killed at least five people. Several others are injured.

The Palisades Fire, now the most destructive fire in Los Angeles history, is burning between Malibu and Santa Monica and is now more than 15,800 acres and is zero percent contained.

More than 150,000 people in the region are under evacuation orders.

The Eaton Fire is also massive and out of control and is more than 10,000 acres large. It is in the Altadena area.

The weather is only making conditions worse. The critical fire weather conditions will persist tonight and Thursday. Strong Santa Ana winds are continuing along with low relative humidity levels and dry fuels.

Cities in the critical areas on Thursday are Riverside, Glendale, San Bernardino, Ontario, and Fontana.
