Potent winter storm impacting eastern Canada

A winter storm continues to impact eastern Canada.
Ontario
The snow will gradually taper off across central and eastern Ontario this morning. For more on Ontario click here.
Quebec
From Montreal to Quebec City, 15 to 30 centimetres are expected until Friday morning. 20 to 40 cm is expected across western Quebec.
Thursday morning into Friday morning 15 to 30 centimetres of snow is expected for Rimouski toward Gaspé along with winds of 70 to 90 kilometres per hour and reduced visibilities in blowing snow.
Overnight Thursday as well as Friday and Saturday the Lower North Shore will see snowfall amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres, winds reaching 90 kilometres per hour, and low visibility in blowing snow.
New Brunswick
Central sections of the province will receive 20 to 25 cm of snow. 25 to 35 cm is forecast for the north. Snow will continue until late overnight.
Across southern New Brunswick, snowfall amounts could reach 15 cm. The snow will change to ice pellets or freezing rain this afternoon or evening.
Prince Edward Island
This afternoon, 15 to 25 cm of snow is expected across Prince County. The snow will end overnight.
Across Queens County and Kings County, up to 15 cm of snow is expected this afternoon and evening.
Nova Scotia
All of western Nova Scotia as well as Hants County, Halifax Metro Halifax County West, and Colchester County - Truro and south will see freezing rain late this afternoon and early evening.
Elsewhere across mainland Nova Scotia, precipitation will begin as snow from west to east this afternoon and transition to ice pellets and periods of freezing rain in the late afternoon and early evening. A change over to rain is expected near midnight.
15 to 30 cm of snow is expected across Cape Breton with the highest amounts over Victoria County. On Friday, an additional 15 cm is possible over the Highlands.
Newfoundland and Labrador
This evening until Friday morning or early afternoon the low will impact Newfoundland.
The Avalon Peninsula and the Clarenville area will see 10 to 15 cm of snow and wind gusts to 80 km/h. Gander and vicinity, Bonavista North, Terra Nova, and the Bonavista Peninsula will see about 10 cm with gusts between 80 and 100 km/h.
The snow will be much more intense west of Gander. For the West Coast, South Coast, Central, and Northeastern Newfoundland between Green Bay and Fogo Island. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm are expected with wind gusts between 70 to 100 km/h. Gusts between 130 to 150 km/h are possible in the Wreckhouse area and parts of the west coast prone to downslope southeasterly enhancement.
On the Great Northern Peninsula, 10 to 20 cm of snow is expected along with wind gusts between 90 and 130 km/h overnight tonight until Friday evening.
Along coastal Labrador, 20 to 40 cm of snow with wind gusts between 80 and 100 km/h is expected from Friday evening into Saturday morning.
Travel:
Wind conditions on the Confederation Bridge on Friday morning may result in restrictions of traffic until approximately 6:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Marine Atlantic has cancelled crossings for tonight and Friday and anticipates that crossings on Saturday will be cancelled.
