Schools closed, roads and air travel impacted, as storm slams Manitoba

Several schools in Manitoba are closed as a potentially historic blizzard slams southern sections of the province.

The following schools are closed:

  • Winnipeg public schools

  • Brandon School Division

  • Fort La Bosse School Divison

  • Portage la Prairie School Division

  • Prairie Rose School Division

  • Rolling River School Division

  • Seven Oaks School Division

  • Southwest Horizon School Division

Manitoba RCMP closed all major highways in southern Manitoba around midnight last night or when the snow started.

Winnipeg Transit is still operating but some routes could be impacted.

Most flights at the Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport have been cancelled.
