Smoky Conditions Return to NW Alberta

There is a brief reprieve from the smoky conditions that we have been seeing in Alberta.

A northwest flow has developed, pushing smoke towards British Columbia.

Several regions in BC are being impacted or are likely to be impacted by wildfire smoke over the next 24-48 hours.

This improvement in Alberta will be short-lived as a more northerly flow is expected to return on Saturday.

Starting Sunday, people forced out of High Level and surrounding northern Alberta communities will be able to apply for emergency financial aid.

The wildfire is 9,925-square-kilometres.
