There are snowfall warnings and special weather statements in effect across coastal British Columbia and Vancouver Island.
A low pressure system will push onshore bringing snow to coastal sections and Vancouver Island beginning tonight. The snow will continue through Sunday afternoon.
There will be some rain at lower elevations across the Lower Mainland.
Snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm is expected across British Columbia's south coast.
Across central and western Vancouver Island, snowfall amounts of about 2 to 4 cm are expected.
As we head into next week temperatures will warm up.
