Snowy Weekend Ahead for Ontario

The potential exists for a snowy weekend across Ontario.

In Northern Ontario areas from Big Trout Lake near Sandy Lake could receive 20 centimetres of snow beginning on Saturday.

This heavy snow has the potential to have an impact on travel.

In Southern Ontario, there could be some lake effect snow on Sunday night and into Monday.

Areas southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay could see 5 to 10 centimetres of snow. Inland areas near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay will see some showers mixing in.

There will also be strong winds.

Lake effect snow southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay may be ongoing Monday morning.
