Stormy weather continues across Atlantic Canada for fourth day


Stormy weather continues across Atlantic Canada.


New Brunswick

All of the province will see freezing rain today, tonight, and into Tuesday morning.


The only exception will be parts of the Fundy coast where 20 to 30 mm of rain is possible through this evening.


Prince Edward Island

Rain will continue through the day and will come to an end late this evening. Rainfall amounts of 25 to 45 mm is expected.


Nova Scotia

Heavy rain will continue today along the southern and eastern shores of Nova Scotia. 20 to 40 mm is expected. Rain will come to an end this evening.


There is a Les Suêtes wind warning in effect for Inverness County - Mabou and north. Winds may gust to 130 km/h until this afternoon.


Newfoundland and Labrador

It is another stormy day across Newfoundland and Labrador. Several alerts remain in effect for freezing rain, heavy rain, and strong winds.


The south coast and Avalon is currently seeing rain. Over the course of the day and into tonight freezing rain will transition to rain. Along the south coast, 20 to 30 mm of rain is possible today while the Avalon Peninsula will see 3 to 8 mm.


Freezing will continue until midnight for portions of central and western Newfoundland along with the Great Northern Peninsula. 5 to 10 mm of freezing rain is expected.


In Labrador freezing rain will start tonight and continue until Wednesday for the Cartwright to L'Anse-au-Clair and the Eagle River region.


Today through this evening winds will gust between 100 and 120 km/h along the west coast.
