Stormy weather continues across northern Ontario
It might be spring but mother nature didn't get the memo for Northern Ontario.
Today, snow and freezing rain are expected to spread northeastward toward James Bay.
10 to 20 cm of snow is possible from near Lake Nipigon to James Bay just west of Attawapiskat.
Freezing rain and ice pellets will occur from Thunder Bay northeastward to the Fort Albany and Attawapiskat areas near James Bay with several millimetres of ice accretion possible.
Regions northeast and east of Lake Superior will see heavy rain. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm are expected.
On Monday snow is expected to extend from just north of Lake Superior northeast to Peawanuck, with amounts of 15 to 25 cm possible.
Freezing rain is expected to extend from areas near Wawa northeast to the Attawapiskat and Fort Albany areas near James Bay. Several millimetres of ice accretion is possible.
Strong winds are expected near Hudson Bay.
