Tornado near Alexander, MB #MBstorm


Environment and Climate Change Canada has confirmed a tornado on Thursday evening.


An area of severe thunderstorms moved through southwestern Manitoba.


There were reports of quarter-sized hail, heavy rain, severe wind gusts causing damage in Brandon and a tornado near Alexander.


The tornado touched down at 5:42 pm CDT about 5 km west of Alexander. It has been given a preliminary rating of EF-0 with estimated wind speeds between 90 km/h and 130 km/h.


No damage has been reported due to this tornado at this time.
